COVID-19 AUDIENCE SAFETY MEASURES

As we move towards bringing live events back to Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall, our highest priority is the safety of every fan, musician and member of our team. We have put in place a number of measures in compliance with orders from the Government of Ontario, and we thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Return To Live Events

Beginning March 1, 2022, in-person events at Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall will be permitted up to 100% capacity and there is no general requirement for attendees to have received full COVID-19 vaccination.

Vaccinations

Proof of vaccination may be required at certain special events and concerts. Each artist reserves the right to implement this policy at their concerts. If this is the case, it will be identified on the event detail page. Any updates will be communicated by email and added to the event page as confirmed.

The below vaccination information is for reference ONLY for concerts that require proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Each fan aged 12 and older must present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination along with government issued ID upon entry to Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall at select events.

We are unable to accept proof of a negative COVID-19 test for admittance. Children who are 11 years of age and younger will be exempted from proof of vaccine and testing requirements, but must be accompanied by an adult with proof of full vaccination and proof of ID.

How to access your proof of vaccination:

  1. Download a copy of your vaccination receipt at covid19.ontariohealth.ca/
  2. Bring a digital or printed copy of your receipt to the event.
  3. Upon arrival, be prepared to show your receipt along with a piece of government issued ID.


Please have your proof of vaccination easily accessible for quick and easy entry.


Masks

Masks may be required at certain special events and concerts. Each artist reserves the right to implement this policy at their concerts.

Mobile Ticketing

We suggest contactless entry by choosing mobile tickets for your method of delivery. All tickets for Massey Hall and/or Roy Thomson Hall events will be delivered digitally when purchased on-line and will be scanned from fans’ mobile devices in order to maintain a contactless fan experience. Tickets can be purchased through the venue websites - masseyhall.com or roythomsonhall.com. Any tickets purchased through Ticketmaster can be accessed through the Ticketmaster mobile app.

Cashless Venue

Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall are both cash-free venues that only accepts debit and credit cards, including major contactless and mobile payment methods, for a safe and speedy check out. We no longer accept cash.

Physical Distancing

Please maintain a physical distance of 2 meters when possible including in queues inside and outside of the venue.


Restricted Bag Policy

To limit fan touchpoints, bags are discouraged and will be subject to a security search prior to entry. Any purses or briefcases that are larger than 14” X 14” X 6” and ALL backpacks will not be allowed into the venue. Permitted bags should be soft sided and able to fit completely under the venue seats.


Venue Cleaning

Enhanced protocols have been instituted throughout the entire venue. Before, after and during each performance, high touch areas including seats, handrails, concessions stands, restrooms, and merchandise stands, will be disinfected. Hand sanitizing dispensers will be located prominently throughout the venue.

Health & Safety – COVID-19 mandatory patron self screening


If you feel sick, please stay home. Know the symptoms of COVID-19 which can include the following: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or running nose, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

All patrons must self-screen before entering the premises. All fans must complete a self-screening assessment prior to entering Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall that has been developed in accordance with recommendations and instructions issued by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health and mandated from Toronto Public Health. Anyone experiencing any of these symptoms should refrain from coming to Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall and stay home to self monitor.
