CHAIRS X CHAIRS
THE NEW MASSEY HALL IS ALMOST HERE. NAME A PARTERRE SEAT AND SUPPORT THE MASSEY HALL REVITALIZATION TODAY.
Restored, revitalized, and re-imagined.
An aspirational home for our nation’s great artists and international iconic entertainers, no other venue has contributed so much to our country’s cultural identity. And now you can leave a lasting legacy by adding your name to the Hall.
The legend will return to take its unique place in Toronto and the international music scene. But first, there’s a need for final funding and you can help.
Over the past several years Campaign Co-Chairs, Alison McDonald, Richard Hamm, Bill Mackinnon, and Tom MacMillan and have been working to complete the Massey Hall Revitalization campaign and open this treasure by this year end. With only 15% left to raise, we are launching the Chairs x Chairs campaign. And as Co-Chairs we are offering to double every gift made before the deadline.
As someone who makes our city one of the best in the world, we need your support to close this campaign and invite you to be part of Massey Hall’s audience forever by purchasing a seat in the Hall. And as Co-Chairs we are offering to double every gift made before the deadline.

ABOUT THE Massey Hall Revitalization
We find ourselves in an incredibly rare moment as Massey Hall prepares to open after the most significant renovation in its 127-year history. When the Revitalization project is complete, we will welcome you to the remarkably restored Allan Slaight Auditorium, with the addition of a 7-storey tower to the south, collectively known as Allied Music Centre. The expansion means four venues for artists, educators, and community groups with expanded programming. Beyond improved amenities and accessibility, students and communities will engage and connect through expanded Education and Outreach activity. Artists will be able to create and perform at every stage of their careers with tailored Artist Development support from the Halls. And music fans like you will be an integral part of an artist’s path to becoming headliners. Much like the Hall’s founding wishes, a Gift for the People, we expect brighter days ahead where we’ll be able to gather with friends and sing loudly together once again in the revitalized Massey Hall. Your seat dedication will bring the joy of live performances to audiences and artists alike.
DELIVERING ON COMMUNITY IMPACT
For the first time, Massey Hall’s Education and Community Outreach programming will have a permanent home with the goal of reaching even more people in need.
ARTIST DEVELOPMENT
Over the last year, Toronto has lost many venues, making performance critical. Massey Hall is getting ready to open a new Club and Theatre, giving artists and the audience a chance to catch our favourite acts and recover. Our Artist Development program works one-to-one with artists to get them on track to making their Massey Hall debut.
HERITAGE & VIBRANCY
From the Art-Nouveau style of the stained-glass windows to the craftsmanship of the magical Moorish arches and plasterwork in the Allan Slaight Auditorium, Massey Hall will remain a cherished piece of Toronto’s architecture. Massey Hall is one of the only centenarian buildings in Toronto to be in use for its original intent.
RECOVERY & CITY BUILDING
The Halls are deserving for being financially self-sufficient, and self-sustainable arts organization. This is a winning project key to our recovery as a city with $348M in our local economic impact and the creation of 4,000 jobs.
